For the past couple weeks we have been learning about how objects spin and roll from a force. We learned how air pushes against and object to make it spin. You can watch our class experiment with the Twirly Birds to experience air pushing upward against an object.
Yesterday, we investigated spheres rolling on a track. The students were experimenting loops in their tracks, which was a lot of fun! The students had to make sure the sphere (marble) was moving fast enough on the track in order to complete the loop without falling out.
