Reading with Expression

Below is a video from our special camping themed writing time with Katie Mcky. :) The kids loved it and the teacher's got some great ideas for filling our kids with ideas, keeping them focused, and getting them excited. She also taught us all to be tough enough to make mistakes and try our best!

Monday morning all of the students at Hemlock Creek went to an assembly in the gym. This assembly was to kick off our author is residence that will be here all week. Katie Mcky will be at our school all week teaching the kids about writing and having a lot of fun! Our class will be going to meet with her on Thursday morning. We will also have a family night on Thursday (@ 6pm) and a closing assembly on Friday afternoon. The kids are having a great time so far and we can't wait for more! Hope to see you Thursday!
