Field Trip - Heritage Hill

Last week on Wednesday we went on a field trip to Heritage Hill State Park. It was a chilly day but we had a great time.  We were there for the Belgian Farm tour staged in 1905. The kiddos got to turn corn in to corn flour, turn cream into butter, learn about immigration, and life on the farm in 1905. Below are pictures from our day!

Career Dress-Up Day

Punctuation Pup and Capitol Cat

This week during writing we practiced using capitol letters at the beginning of sentences and putting punctuation at the end. To help us remember we made Punctuation Pup and Capitol Cat. The kiddos lay them down in the correct spots to check to make sure they have not forgotten them. Below are a couple picture of the kids using them. 

Book Buddies

Today our book buddies came to read with us! This was our second meeting with them and it went great! The kiddos really seem to enjoy spending time together. Our book buddies this year are 4th graders from Ms. Socha's class. :)
