Green and Gold Friday - Week 3
Today is another Green and Gold Friday! We can't wait for another PACKER win this weekend! This morning we have had some Packer themed fun. We took our class photo, did a mannequin challenge, and did Packer words for Fundations (phonics). We also made a Packer riddle to solve during math. See if you can solve the adding doubles riddle below. ;) GO PACK GO!!

RAZ KIDS Reading
This week in reading groups I introduced the kids to RAZ Kids. This is a website and app from the company Reading A to Z. This program gives students access to digital books at their own level. We will be using it in reading groups here at school but it is also available for you at home. The kids can read or listen to a book and then do follow up comprehension questions. The book levels will be adjusted as your child progresses according to their score on the questions. The subscription for this program is paid for by the school district and is available for you to use at home. So while the books we read online will not be coming home in your child’s book bag they can still be re-read at home using the app or website. Login information is listed below. Happy Reading!!!

Math - Base Ten
Last week we started a new unit focused on Base Ten. We started our learning focusing on teen numbers. We built teen number using math racks, ten frames, base ten blocks, drawings, equations, and numerals. Below are some pictures and links to some Base Ten games.

Green and Gold Friday & Social Media
Today at Hemlock Creek it was green and gold day! Many kiddos and staff were dressed in their Packer gear to cheer on the Packers in their play-off game this weekend. Below is a picture of our class in their gear and cheesehead hats.
